Sheffield United's weekend went from bad to worse as The Blades not only suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat away from home at fellow strugglers Burnley at Turf Moor but striker Ollie McBurnie was also shown a red card which further compounded Paul Heckingbottom's frustrations while Liverpool came from behind to take the spoils in a high-scoring 4-3 win at home against Fulham.

Despite achieving a rare highlight which came in the form of a 2-1 home win against Wolves, Sheffield United have seemingly returned to type as the Yorkshire club were handed an eleventh defeat out of 14 matches played to date in this season's Premier League which certainly does not bode well for this upcoming visit from high-flying Liverpool on Wednesday night.

That last-gasp win against Fulham has also extended Liverpool's unbeaten run to an impressive seven games and having picked up four wins during this period by way of victories against Everton, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Fulham, manager Jurgen Klopp will be demanding another three-point haul up in Yorkshire on Wednesday night.

Goals for both sides also look likely as seven of Liverpool's last 10 league matches have resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net as well (70%).

Sheffield United know their best chance of Premier League survival this season will be to start picking up points on a consistent basis at Bramall Lane and we can expect The Blades to be on the front foot here.

Liverpool's quality should come to the fore though in this fixture although both teams may well score.
