The Premier League action continues on Thursday night with another two games being played, the first featuring this upcoming clash between Everton and Newcastle United with former Everton forward, Anthony Gordon, renewing old acquaintances on merseyside and with both teams heading into this encounter on the back of wins on the weekend, this should be an intriguing contest.

Everton picked up a fourth win in six games in all competitions on Saturday when they nicked a 1-0 win away from home at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest which followed victories in the Premier League against West Ham and Crystal Palace while also progressing in the League Cup at the expense of Burnley as well.

However, Newcastle United know that if they are to be considered serious challengers for another Champions League spot this time around, results away from home must improve as the north-east club have managed to collect just one win from their last eight outings on the road in the top flight.

That win came in the form of a comprehensive 8-0 dismantling of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane but losses at Manchester City, Brighton and Bournemouth suggest Newcastle also have further work to do in this department.
