Crawley Town succumbed to a sixth loss in seven games in League One last weekend when the Red Devils were handed a 1-0 defeat away from home at Wycombe Wanderers, while Shrewsbury Town gained a creditable point in a 2-2 draw away from home at mid-table Bolton Wanderers but nevertheless, that extended the visitors' winless run to six games in the English third tier.

Crawley Town had previously produced an encouraging start to this new League One season as the Sussex outfit picked up early back-to-back wins against Blackpool and Cambridge United respectively but the rot has well and truly set in as the hosts have now failed to win any of their subsequent seven matches overall.

Six defeats within these last seven games does not bode well for this upcoming encounter against fellow strugglers, Shrewsbury Town, even with home advantage under their belts as three of these recent six losses have been inflicted upon Robert Elliot's side on home soil at their Broadfield Stadium where the Red Devils have managed to pick up just the single win to date.

Similar to their upcoming hosts, Crawley Town, though, the bigger picture certainly does not bode well for The Shrews as the Shropshire outfit have managed to register just one win from their last 17 league matches overall, that being a 3-0 home win against Leyton Orient at the end of August, but also slipping to 10 defeats as well.

Results away from home have also seen the visitors' form slump as Shrewsbury Town have now failed to win any of their last nine outings on the road.
