Norwich City ended a slightly worrying three-game winless run in the Championship last Friday night when they registered a welcome 2-1 win away from home at Hull City, while West Brom collected a third win in four games in the English second tier last weekend with a rousing 4-1 home win against Blackburn Rovers which maintained West Brom's fifth place position in the Championship table.

Norwich City currently sit in the top half of the Championship table in 11th place but had it not been for a disastrous sequence of results earlier in the season, The Canaries may well have been challenging for a place in the play-off pack.

Norwich suffered a six-match winless run in the Championship from early October through to early November but to make matters worse, The Canaries were also handed five defeats within this miserable six-match period with defeats at the hands of Swansea City, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers respectively.

However, David Wagner's side have steadied the ship somewhat in subsequent times as the hosts have lost just three of their last 13 games thereafter, whilst picking up six wins in the process but results on home soil at Carrow Road continue to be a mixed bag as Norwich City have won three, drawn one and lost three of their last seven home games.

West Brom registered a third win in four games with a comprehensive dismantling of Blackburn Rovers last weekend and having previously chalked up wins against Norwich City and Leeds United as well, The Baggies will be in confident mood as they make their way to East Anglia for this upcoming clash at Carrow Road.

Recent results have also been a bit of a mixed bag for Carlos Corberan's side as they have collected just four wins from their last nine games overall which included an earlier 2-0 win away from home at Rotherham United but the west midlands club have also been handed four defeats within this sequence as well.

Losses to Leicester City, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Swansea City have held West Brom back in terms of making serious claims for possible automatic promotion as they now trail second placed Ipswich Town by a significant 13-point margin, so they will set their sights on securing a place in the play-offs no doubt.

Results away from home also suggest the goals market may be a better option for this upcoming fixture as West Brom have recorded just four wins from their previous 15 outings on the road.
