Leicester City picked up a third win in four games in the English second tier on the weekend when they registered a comprehensive 4-0 rout of Plymouth Argyle at their King Power Stadium which in turn maintained Leicester City's position at the summit of the Championship table while Millwall slumped to a third defeat in four games as The Lions suffered a 1-0 defeat away from home at Cardiff City.

Leicester City certainly made the most of Plymouth Argyle's wretched away record in the Championship on the weekend and The Foxes will be looking for more of the same against a floundering Millwall outfit who just haven't been the same side since sacking former manager, Gary Rowett.

Wednesday night's hosts have no such worries despite a slightly concerning period previously which saw The Foxes slip to back-to-back defeats at the hands of Leeds united and Middlesbrough last month but the hosts have responded in positive fashion as they registered previous wins against Watford and West Brom to get their automatic promotion push back on track.

Millwall remain in their lowly position of 19th place in the Championship table despite losing a third game in four matches overall on Saturday when they slipped to a 1-0 defeat in Wales against Cardiff City which followed previous recent losses to Coventry City and Ipswich Town as the London club seemingly look to be in free-fall mode currently.

Although results had been disappointing in the early stages of this Championship season with Millwall having collected just four wins from their opening 10 games, The Lions have since managed to gain just one further win from their subsequent 10 games overall in the English second tier which has left the London club just two points above the relegation zone.

Results away from home had been promising to start off with as well, as Millwall had slipped to just one defeat in their opening eight games on their travels but The Lions have since been pegged back by two losses on the trot on the road at Ipswich Town and Cardiff City respectively which places them on the back foot for this upcoming trip to the east midlands to take on the league leaders.
