Central Coast Mariners extended their unbeaten streak in the Australian A-League to five games after they recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win away from home at Brisbane Roar which has moved them to within just three points of the top six pack, while Perth Glory returned to winning ways with a narrow 3-2 home win against Macarthur last time out.

After producing a poor and dismal start to this A-League season which included losing their opening four games on the trot with defeats being handed to them by the likes of Adelaide United, Macarthur, Perth Glory and Brisbane Roar, the hosts have since managed to turn things around by putting together a promising five-match unbeaten sequence which consists of three wins and two draws.
