Ballycasey leads the betting here with a record of 5 wins in 6 career races. However, a step up to Cheltenham is a different prospect from the races Ballycasey has run in so far. Smad Place has a lot more experience and was 3rd at Cheltenham last year. Since then Smad Place has performed very well over 24f with wins at Newbury and Exeter in November and February. Morning Assembly has hit form in the last 12 months, but again does not have the Cheltenham experience.
Corrin Wood is usually used to running much longer distances than this, namely 4 miles, and has a good record. Corrin Wood is a heavy going horse, but it's difficult to know how Corrin Wood will peform over 3m 110y. Corrin Wood certainly has a chance here.
Carlingford Lough has a lot of experience and has certainly hit form in the last 12 months. Carlingford Lough is very consistent, and well worth a place bet. Don Cossack has a good record in Ireland, but this will be Don Cossack's first visit to a UK course, so lacks experience. Conversely Le Bec does have Cheltenham experience, with a 5th place at the Festival last year, and more recently a 1st and 2nd place finish in November and December. Le Bec is well worth a place bet here at good odds.
WinDrawWin Prediction - Smad Place To Win. Le Bec and Carlingford Lough To Place.
