Four horses realistically have an excellent chance of winning the Champion Hurdle in one of the most closely contested races for years. Hurricaine Fly is joint favourite after winning this race at last year's Festival, and has not lost since 3rd place in this same race in 2012. Hurricaine Fly is such a great all rounder, it's difficult to not see this horse featuring in the top two here. The New One will put up a big challenge here after winning the Neptune Novices' Hurdle last year at Cheltenham. The New One's record is certainly very impressive, and one thing to note is the longer distances that have been run - usually used to running 4 or 5 furlongs longer than this race. The New One will certainly give Hurricaine Fly a massive test here.
My Tent Or Yours was very impressive at Cheltenham last year, finishing 2nd in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle last year, and unbeaten since. Our Conor won the JCB Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham last year, and is priced fairly short for this one. Since Cheltenham this year Our Conor has not been outstanding though.
You would have to be brave to back any horse outside of the above four. Jezki was 3rd last year in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, but outside of Cheltenham has not really been tested in big races like this one.
WinDrawWin Prediction - Hurricaine Fly To Win, My Tent Or Yours To Place.
