Ballynagour leads the betting after a good result at Warwick in February, finishing 1st in a field of 10 runners. Ballynagour loves the soft to heavy going so conditions should help here. Hunt Ball is a close second favourite and has some good Cheltenham experience but Hunt Ball's form has dipped lately, albeit on heavy going. Hunt Ball prefers the going to be good so may become favourite for this race if the conditions are favourable.
Cantlow is on good form, winning at Taunton and Plumpton in December and January. Cantlow does prefer the heavy going and may be outclassed if the going is good. Kapga De Cerisy is a promising 5 year old and with 2 wins at Sandown in February comes into this race on good form. Kapga De Cerisy may well be worth a place, if not a win bet here.
Of the rest of the field many runners lack the experience, form, or ability to win at this distance. Vino Griego has shown more promise than most outsiders, winning at 3m at Ascot in February. Vino Griego also won at Cheltenham at a shorter distance in January. On that sort of recent form Vino Griego may be worth a place bet.
WinDrawWin Prediction - Kapga De Cerisy to Win. Vino Griego to Place.
