Ted Spread leads the betting at 7/1. The 5 year old has been very consistent in 2011 and 2012 and has stepped up the distance well, winning at Taunton in January and finishing 2nd in December.
Bourne is also a solid contender, stepping up to this distance well and winning at Ascot in February over this distance. Bourne is a consistent horse and should be given respect here.
Poole Master has a 57% win rate, and has won twice already in 2012 at Newbury and Lingfield at 9/1 Poole Master looks reasonable value.
A large section of the field is priced between 10/1 and 16/1, showing how competitive this race will be. Big Easy has won twice over this distance already in 2012, and may be worth an each way bet. Molotof has performed well of late, but this distance will be a step up, so it is an unknown how Molotof will perform.
Most of the rest of the field does not have the track record of running this distance, so only small each way bets may be sensible or a small win bet on a high priced runner which has done well at shorter distances.
WinDrawWin Tips: Bourne to win. Molotof to place.
