Any of 5 or more runners could start favourite in this race. Ted Spread, Moon Dice, Get Me Out Of Here, Raya Star and Sire de Grugy are all priced at around 9/1 or 10/1. Ted Spread is a horse whose form is on the up, winning at Taunton in January and coming 2nd at Taunton in December over this distance. Moon Dice has more experience, but can be a little inconsistent, although will pose a threat. Get Me Out Of Here too has a lot of experience and is probably the most consistent out of the front runners, and a great each way bet.
Raya Star is a big threat here. Raya Star has a good 2011 and won over this distance at Doncaster, Wetherby and Ascot. More recently Raya Star finished 3rd in a field of 20 at Newbury in February.
Sire de Grugy is probably the most inconsistent of the front runners but with a 40% win rate cannot be ignored.
Of the rest of the field, not many stand out as having the potential to challenge the front runners. Most runners around 14/1 and 16/1 have a recent win to their record, so anything around that price may be woeth an each way bet, but with so many runners in this race the value is slim. Brampour is a 5 year old that won at Cheltenham in a field of 23 in November and finished 3rd in December. Grams and Ounces has had 3 wins in December and January and at 16/1 may be worth an each way bet.
WinDrawWin Tips: Raya Star to win. Moon Dice to place.
