Simonsig and Boston Bob lead the field as favourites at 3/1 and 7/2 respectively. This distance suits the impressive Simonsig, however as a favourite Simonsig is largely untested at only 3/1. Boston Bob has performed very well under Ruby Walsh and looks a better bet for a win at 7/2.
Monksland and Batonnier follow in the odds at 8/1 and 9/1 respectively. Monksland is relatively inexperienced, but very impressive in run outs at Naas in January and Navan in December. At 8/1 Monksland may be worth a shot for a win.
Batonnier has a lot more experience than the favourites in this race, however will probably only place at best. At 9/1 Batonnier is probably correctly priced and perhaps worth a small each way bet.
Sous Les Cieux runs well at this distance and has performed consistently under Ruby Walsh. However, Sous Les Cieux probably prefers soft ground, so may warrant a bet depending on the going on the day. At 12/1 Sous Les Cieux may be worth an each way bet before its odds drop if the going is soft.
Make Your Mark is a 5 year old that has performed very well on heavy and soft going. Although untested, at 16/1 Make Your Mark may be worth an each way bet if the going suits.
Of the rest of the field at 25/1 and higher, Mount Benbulben may perhaps be worth a small each way bet, and Toostrong is an inexperienced horse that won impressively in a field of 16 at Fairyhouse in December.
