Three horses lead the betting in a large field, namely Scotsirish (11/4), Sizing Australia (5/1), and Uncle Junior (5/1).
Scotsirish is a solid performer at different distances too. Scotsirish is an experienced horse, but with only a 20% win rate, we do not think that Scotsirish should warrant favourite status.
Sizing Australia also has a poor win rate at only 9%. Sizing Australia prefers good to firm ground, so may do well depending on the going.
Uncle Junior has a much better win rate at 35%, and could be in for a place position, although odds of 5/1 would make this low value.
At age 13, Garde Champetre looks like it would be out of the running, but at 8/1 may be worth a shot. Garde Champetre has performed well at Cheltenham, finishing 1st or 2nd in its last 4 Cheltenham meets.
Backstage and Balthazar King come into the running at 10/1. Balthazar King has taken a dip in form of late, as has Backstage, and both will probably not contend for winning this race.
Nedzer's Return is priced at 14/1 and has good form, however is not experienced at this distance, so 3m 7f may be a step up too far.
Quezac De La Roque may be worth an each way bet but only if the going is soft. Quezac De La Roque is consistent when the going is soft.
Arabella Boy may be worth an each way bet if the going is heavy. Arabella Boy tends to hold out the distance where others do not.
