Hold On Julio leads the betting field at 6/1 after an impressive few months, winning on good to soft ground. Hold On Julio is certainly a horse whose form is on the up, but some caution should be given to the going on the day. If the going is good then Hold On Julio probably does not warrant odds this low in such a large field
Quantitativeeasing and Seabass come next in the running at 10/1. Quantitativeeasing also has impressive form, but is largely an unknown at this distance and has triumphed previously in shorter races.
Seabass has been very consistent under Ruby Walsh. At 10/1 Seabass looks like better value than Hold On Julio and Seabass' consistency could warrant an each way bet if the odds drift, if not a punt on a win. Again, Seabass has not been proven at this distance in the past.
The Package at 12/1 has more experience at this distance, although is not a winner. Perhaps a small each way bet may be sensible on this solid performer.
In such a large field it may be worth looking down the field for value here as well as picking up some good each way value on higher priced runners.
From the rest of the field, Mic's Delight is a consistent performer, but likes the going to be soft or good to soft. At 14/1 Mic's Delight may warrant an each way bet if the going suits him on the day.
Time For Rupert has been run at this distance for a good 18 months now. Unlike other runners, Time For Rupert may be more prepared for this race distance.
