Simenon leads the betting, with experience at this distance, but in our view not a great win rate and consistency. Al Khawaneej is a close second in the betting and has had some good wins of late, albeit in smaller fields and on the all weather surface. Veiled is coming back from a long break from racing, and has not performed well, so may just be out of touch for the running in this race. Elyaadi is an experienced 8 year old, and in our opinion does not have the win rate to deserve such short odds. Dark Ranger is a consistent 6 year old, and well worth a speculative bet here. Cosimo De Medici looked good last year, but has only been run once in 2012, so may be unpredictable. Ashbrittle has been run regularly in 2012, so comes into the race with some good form, and has stepped up to this distance well, with two good runs at Kempton Park in February and March. Ashbrittle may be worth a place here. Monterey lacks the experience at this distance, but performed well at Newmarket this month, however is largely an unknown in this sort of race.
WinDrawWin Tips: Dark Ranger to win. Ashbrittle to place.
