Oscar Whisky and Rock On Ruby lead the field in the betting at around 3/1. Oscar Whisky is an impressive 7 year old and performed well at Cheltenham, finishing 5th in the World Hurdle so impressively won by Big Bucks. Oscar Whisky has an excellent win rate at 71% and will certainly go out as one of the favourites. Rock On Ruby was also very impressive at Cheltenham, winning the Champion Hurdle, hence warrants an early favourite status. However, Rock On Ruby was not that fancied prior to Cheltenham form so at a low price should maybe be avoided if the Cheltenham win was perhaps a one off.
Zarkandar is priced around 4/1 ad has a win rate around 60%. Again, Zarkandar comes into this race with impressive form at Cheltenham and can certainly put up a challenge here.
Thousand Stars is priced around 7/1. Thousand Stars is an experienced horse and has been run at various distances, showing good all round potential. However, with three other good horses ahead of Thousand Stars in the betting it is difficult to see Thousand Stars winning but if the odds are good then a place bet may be warranted.
Overturn and Oscars Well are 9/1 and 16/1 respectively. Overturn has a lot of experience but has normally been run in races of shorter distance. This may be a step up for Overturn. Oscars Well does not seem to have a good chance with only a 25% career win rate. Again, Oscars Well is used to running shorter distances so may not pose a challenge in this race.
WinDrawWin Tips: Zarkandar to win. Oscar Whisky and Thousand Stars to place.
