It's A Gimme leads the betting here at 4/1. This impressive 5 year old has been very consistent, winning at Southwell in February and 2nd at Wincanton in January. With AP Mccoy on board again, It's A Gimme has a great chance here, although 4/1 is low value.
Tour D'argent is 6/1 and has had two good wins in December and January. This distance is a slight step up, but again looking at the jockey Tour D'argent must be respected here with Barry Geraghty on board.
Bourne folows in the betting at 9/1. Bourne was well fancied at Cheltenham but could only manage 9th, perhaps because the going was too good for Bourne who seems to prefer the softer ground. Aintree has been good to soft in places, hence why Bourne is priced third favourite here.
Dare Me, Cape Dutch, Lava Lamp, and All The Aces are all 12/1. Dare Me did not show well at Cheltenham and has been inconsistent of late. Cape Dutch however, although not performing well at Cheltenham, has a good record, and this 5 year old, although lacking experience, could deserve a place bet here. Lava Lamp is also on good form with 2 wins in 2012. Lava Lamp is certainly one to watch at this sort of price. All The Aces lacks experience at the longer distances, and perhaps also prefers the softer going.
WinDrawWin Tips: Tour D'argent to win. Cape Dutch and Lava Lamp to place.
