In a large field, Gwanako leads the betting at 7/2, closely followed by My Way de Solzen at 13/2. Gwanako has been run twice and has won twice this year, but missed Cheltenham. Gwanako usually runs this distance too, and is well experienced. My Way de Solzen has a 44% career win rate, and bags of experience as a 12 year old. My Way de Solzen is also proven at a range of distances, and won most recently at Hereford in March.
Boxer Georg and Cloudy Lane are 8/1 and 9/1 respectively. Boxer Georg is strangely 3rd favourite in our opinion. With only an 8% career win rate and finishing only 10th at Cheltenham, in our opinion Boxer Georg is priced too low here. Cloudy Lane is an experienced runner and has performed well at Aintree. Cloudy Lane is probably the most consistent out of the top runners and well worth a place bet here.
Roulez Cool and Silver Adonis are both 12/1. Roulez Cool likes good to firm ground, but is a little erratic at times and not consistent enough in our opinion to warrant a bet. Silver Adonis has performed well at this distance, but the only drawback is that Silver Adonis has not been challenged in fields of this size.
Of the rest of the field no runners really stand out as being consistent enough here to warrant a place bet. In our opinion it is best to stick to the runners above for place choices.
WinDrawWin Tips: My Way de Solzen to win. Cloudy Lane to place.
