Tennis - Azarenka suffers injury worry
Victoria Azarenka has been forced to pull out of the Rome Masters with a shoulder problem, casting doubt on her participation in the French Open. The world number one, who is 7/2 with bet365 to win her second Grand Slam of the year at Roland Garros, surprisingly withdrew from the Rome tournament after convincingly beating Shahar Peer in straight sets on Wednesday night. The French Open begins in less than two weeks, meaning the 22-year-old faces a battle to be fit in time to take her place in the draw.Meanwhile, Serena Williams, Azarenka's conqueror at the Madrid Masters, continued her progress in Rome after defeating Nadia Petrova in three sets, but struggled with back pain."Everyone has aches and pains here and there and today I felt it a lot because I have been playing a lot and practising even more," said the American."Hopefully I'll be better by tomorrow."

Cricket - KP: England have the edge
Kevin Pietersen believes England have the more dangerous bowling attack ahead of the summer series with South Africa, singling out Graeme Swann as the difference between the two sides. Andrew Strauss' team, who are 1/1 with bet365 to win the three-match series, will find their world number one Test status challenged when the second-placed tourists take them on.Pietersen conceded the South Africans have world-class bowlers in Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Vernon Philander, but pointed out England can call on James Anderson, third in the top Test bowler listings, as well as fourth-placed Swann."We probably edge the attack with Swann," said Pietersen. "But I played with Morne Morkel for the past month in India, and I played against Dale in Delhi the other day and they are absolute world-class bowlers. Philander has started his career brilliantly. "Our batters are going to have to make sure they deal with whatever comes up against us but their batters face the same sort of task because our attack is pretty special."

Football - Chelsea urged to stay calm
Chelsea have been told they must keep their emotions in check if they are to lift the Champions League trophy in Germany on Saturday. The west London club, who are 14/1 with bet365 to defeat Bayern Munich 2-1, are without the banned John Terry, Ramires and Branislav Ivanovic, and will be facing the German giants on their home ground. However, they have received a boost with the news that defensive duo Gary Cahill and David Luiz are set to take part after recovering from injury.Meanwhile, midfielder John Obi Mikel insists the Blues have a great chance of tasting Champions League glory. He said: "You have to maintain the will to win at all times, but also stay calm. You can do it - that's why we are professionals. If you know how to manage these two things together, it makes your life in football - as well as outside football - very much easier."

Cricket - Injuries hamper West Indies' chances
West Indies have a host of injury problems as they prepare for the start of the first Test against England at Lord's. Kemar Roach (ankle) and Ravi Rampaul (neck) both struggled during the recent defeat to the England Lions in Northampton, while Fidel Edwards is currently being troubled by a back problem. This means inexperienced duo Shannon Gabriel and Assad Fudadin could be handed Test debuts in a game the tourists are 9/1 with bet365 to win, while the draw is available at 14/5.Windies coach Ottis Gibson said: "Kemar Roach has twisted his left foot while Ravi Rampaul woke up with a stiff neck."We have to be a little bit careful with Lord's in mind. It is a bit of a disappointment they have not bowled much, but we are here to play Test matches and we hope it will be all right."
